JPMorgan's ETC wins Open Source Software Award

 

The first Scottish Open Source Excellence Award has been presented to JPMorgan, and Enterprise Management Consulting Ltd on 23rd of November 2007. The aim of the award is to both publicise and celebrate some of the fantastic work being undertaken across Scottish industry, commerce, education and government in the field of Open Source. Open Source's presence in Scotland is impressive, deep, pervasive and frequently surprising.

JPMorgan Scotland were awarded Glasgow Employer Coalition Award for Excellence in Skills & Learning at a ceremony on Wednesday 24th October. The award was part of the 10th Glasgow Business Awards

JPMorgan named as one of the top 50 employers in the U.K. for women

 

For the second year running, The Times newspaper has named JPMorgan as one of the top 50 employers of women in the U.K. in its annual survey of Where Women Want to Work.

 

"Making it onto the list two years running is a great achievement and will ensure that JPMorgan continues to attract and retain the top female talent in the job market," says Carol Lake, head of IB Diversity.

JPMorgan named IT Employer of the Year

 

JPMorgan have been awarded IT Employer of the Year at the 2006 Computing Awards of Excellence.

 

'Top-end IT salaries, generous benefits and the chance to build a career in a dynamic, cutting-edge environment all helped financial services giant JPMorgan overtake other entrants in the 2006 contest to pick up the coveted award for IT Employer of the Year.

The company demonstrated many strengths in staff management, development and rewards.'

JPMorgan's ETC voted Scottish Software Company of the Year 2006

 

At a ceremony on Friday 29th September, JPMorgan Scotland (ETC) was awarded Scottish Software Company of the Year 2006. This annual event, sponsored by the Sunday Times, is in its 4th year and this year received a record 80 applications from software companies in Scotland.

 

"JPMorgan Scotland...has put Scotland on the map for innovation in sophisticated financial instruments and trading systems".

JPMorgan voted best place to work in Scotland

 

In a vote by Here Is The City news, a Financial Markets news website, JPMorgan was voted to be the Best Place to work for, in Scotland. The vote was carried out by the employees of the contender companies over a few weeks, with competitors like State Street, Morgan Stanley and BNP falling behind in the ranks. JPMorgan is fast becoming one of the most important employers in the industry in Scotland, with the operations there continuing to grow through encouragement and financial backing from the firm itself and from the Scottish Executive.
